Can you imagine what it must have been like when the animals walked out of Noah’s Ark and embarked on their new journey? Well we gathered the cutest kids for a fun afternoon at Oak Mountain Top of the Barn to go a hunt to learn more about those animals, and while we we’re on the hunt we got the chance to snag some cool eggs too! We we were brainstorming about the concept for this idea, I knew I wanted to do something different that would celebrate one of my favorite holidays! And celebrate we did! We completely transformed the inside of the barn to create a setting for the perfect kiddie luncheon. We really wanted everything to be personalized and fit for them, so we started with the cutest pink kid chivari chairs, and kid ghost chairs that were decorated with decals that tied in our Noah’s Ark theme. Some of the decals read bible verses such as, “But Noah found grace in the eyes of our Lord, Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God,” Genesis 6:9 and other decals showed an outline of Noah’s Ark!
From the chairs we kept the chic, kiddie theme going with teal pebble blue chargers complete with striped yellow plates that were topped with moss grass. I really wanted to tie in the elements of grass and the color green at different points throughout the party because I feel that it represents to things, 1.) The new land that the animals encountered when they were able to leave the Ark, and 2.) Green symbolizes moving forward. This was the message that God wanted us all to remember! Something else that he wanted us to remember at the completion of Noah’s Ark was “I have set my rainbows in the cloud, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the Earth, “Genesis 9:13. Lauren Atwaters with Ten23 Designs brought my vision to life by creating the cutest name plates for each child that showed a rainbow over their name! (Definitely one of my fav elements to the party) Another fav element that I loved were the large animals from PlayPatterns that we displayed down the middle of the kiddie estate tables. One thing that I loved about the venue was the mural inside the barn displaying animals. I wanted to play off of those images and create larger than life centerpieces that displayed what was written in, Genesis 7:9: Two and two, male and female, went into the ark with Noah, as God had commanded Noah. (Hence some of the centerpieces were of two animals! Thank you to my fabulous “friendor” who came up with this awesome ideas!) I also wanted 3D grass that would display the animals leaving the ark and entering their new life as they walked about Earth so I created grass centerpieces using chicken wire and tissue pom. (Thank God for those long nights of pomping parade floats as cheerleader in high school!) While the decor was a hit, it was the desserts that had everyone talking. From the Mr. Rabbit Cake, to the white chocolate party, and hand painted cookies, the kids were eager to get the hunt started so that they could get to those desserts! Enough of us writing about this fabulous kiddie soiree, check out the pictures to take a peak inside of just how we explored Noah’s Ark while we went on the hunt for some fun Easter Eggs! Oh and “peep” the custom Easter baskets that each child was gifted with to use as they snagged all their eggs! But grab your tissue, these kids are adorable!
